Community Health Centers (CHCs) are the backbone of our health care safety net, providing essential medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to more than 857,000 Coloradans—including 1 in 3 Medicaid enrollees and 2 in 5 uninsured individuals.
Despite their critical role, CHCs are facing severe financial challenges due to increasing costs, flat federal funding, and a significant rise in uninsured patients. Without additional state investment, many health centers—including ours—could be forced to reduce services or even close locations.
What’s at Stake?
✔️ CHCs save Colorado millions by reducing ER visits and hospitalizations
✔️ CHCs provide care in underserved rural, urban, and frontier communities
✔️ CHCs strengthen the economy, employing 7,500+ staff statewide
