We are continually in awe of the incredible generosity and support flowing from every corner of Estes Park. Local businesses, nonprofits, and individuals have been stepping up in extraordinary ways to help us reach our $1 million goal—and today, we are thrilled to share yet another incredible show of support.

The directors of all three choirs in town—Estes Park Chorale, Oratorio Society of Estes Park, and Estes Park Chamber Singers—have come together for a one-of-a-kind event: a Black History Month concert to celebrate the contributions of people of color to the music we love. Even more amazing? They have chosen to make Salud the beneficiary of this historic event.

This concert is a first in so many ways: it marks the first collaboration of these three esteemed choirs, the first concert of its kind in our town, and now, another first—music uniting our community to help safeguard access to affordable health care, all while honoring the contributions of people of color in our community and beyond.

The concert will take place on Sunday, February 23, at 2:30 PM at Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies, and donations collected at the event will go directly to our campaign. Organizers have gone even further by including donation links on their event page and promotional materials, ensuring that those who cannot attend in person still have an opportunity to give.

We are beyond grateful to Nelson Burke and the directors of these choirs for using their platform to uplift both music and our community’s well-being. Their generosity is a powerful reminder that when we come together, we can achieve something truly remarkable.

With nearly $300,000 raised so far, this campaign is gaining momentum. If you’ve been considering donating, let this be your sign that our community believes in this mission—and that every contribution, large or small, is making an impact.

Thank you to everyone who has given, shared, and supported in any way. We are making a difference together!

Join us at the concert, spread the word, and if you haven’t yet, please consider making a donation today.
